Out of the mist of the recent sadness of Thomasville Animal Control Officer Candace Lewis discovery of 4 deceased pups comes a glimmer of happiness. A family living near by where the 4 pups were found had obtained one of their litter mates a month ago from Everett Ryan Willson (-Charged with 4 counts of Felony Animal Cruelty for the starvation death of the pups), they named her Diamond.

Diamond looks just like her brother’s and sister’s who were also mostly black with some white but her size and weight is nowhere close to comparison…Diamond was lucky to have been saved by this family, otherwise she too would have suffered the same fate. The family could no longer care for her and needed to find her somewhere to go so it seemed like the only right thing to do was to bring her into the Ginger’s Fund program. It is heartbreaking that her siblings entered our program too late to be helped but we can help Diamond by making sure she receives proper vet care, is spayed and that she finds a wonderful home where she will always be loved and cherished.

Donations are needed to help cover Diamonds vet cost. She is at a good weight but she does have intestinal worms and will need to be fully vetted and spayed when she reaches 4 months of age. Donations can be made online through the donate link at the top of this page or by mail to: Ginger’s Fund FOS-DCNC, PO Box 1036, Thomasville, NC 27361. *Ginger’s Fund FOS-DCNC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, your donations are tax deductible*

Diamond is also in need of a foster or adoptive home. If you can help please email us at: GingersFund@live.com.

April 1st: Cruelty case came in from Thomasville Animal Control/TPD involving 4 puppies. This story will not end with a happy ending for the animals, only justice……….there are no survivors in this case.

Everett Ryan Wilson has been obtained, arrested and placed under a $20,000 bond for the death of Abigail, Joab, Sarah, and Gabe.

These 4 pit bull pups were only 3 months old…they were locked in a building and left to starve to death. 2 of the pups were still limp when Officer Lewis found them.  Abigail only weighed 3.7 lbs, Joab 4.25 lbs, Sarah 3.9 lbs, and Gabe 4.5 lbs. If only someone could have reported them a day or so sooner they may have all been able to be saved.

Huge Thank You to the Thomasville Police Department and Thomasville Animal Control for making sure that the people who do these horrific acts are held accountable for their actions. The animals are so lucky to have all of you on their side .

Everett Ryan Wilson has been charged with 4 Felonies and 5 misdemeanors

There are 2 boys and 2 girls. In death they have been given a name: Joab, Gabe, Sarah and Abigial. They were locked in a building and left to starve to death…they were only 12 weeks old.

These 4 Pit Bull puppies were only 3 months old. Abigail weighed 3.7 lbs, Joab 4.25, Sarah 3.9 lbs, and Gabe 4.5 lbs. Their combined weight is only 16.35 which is the weight that a single 3 month old Pit puppy should weigh.

Abigail, Gabe, Sarah, and Joab’s necropsies are listed below. Cause of death- Satarvation and Dehydration. We want to make sure that everyone knows that Justice Will Be Served in this case. All the T’s are being crossed and I’s are being dotted.

Thomasville Animal Control and the Thomasville Police Department is not taking this case lightly by any means. The person responsible for their death has been located, arrested, charged with 4 Counts of Felony Animal Cruelty and placed under a $20,000 bond.

Please keep these little ones in your thoughts. It is so sad that they died this way… They will be laid to rest together.
