Jed- LPD Rescue
Officer Dennis with the Lexington Police Department was responding to an animal welfare call on 10/5/14 were he found this boy chained, emaciated and in desperate need for help. Officer Dennis called us for help and headed to Davidson Animal Hospital to get this mistreated boy the immedate medical care he needed…we have named him Jed. * Cruelty charges will be posted as soon as they are made public*
Dr. Hedrick and his awesome staff (Davidson Animal Hospital) worked after hours to get Jed stabilized. Jed who is estimated to be around 6-7 yrs old and weighs only 39 lbs (should be about 65/70 lbs)- he also tested positive for heart worms, is loaded with internal/external parasites, has an injury to the tip of his tail and raw skin behind his ears. He has been given food, water and placed in ICU to be closely monitored. Please keep Jed in your thoughts and prayers for a full recovery.
