Grace’s Pups- Elliot, Jayden, Rosie and Baby Grace
here Upon learning that Grace, the dog who did not make it due to being starved to death, had puppies we have been working hard in order to gain custody of her remaining pups. Thankfully, with the help of the DA’s office we were able to gain custody of Grace’s little ones yesterday evening on 2/5/15. An officer went with us to the location. The puppies were outside, in a small dog kennel with no dog house, water or food. We carried them out and took them straight to Davidson Animal Hospital where Dr. Hedrick was waiting for their arrival.
As expected, based on their mothers condition, all pups are malnourished with distended bellies loaded with intestinal parasites. Their hip bones are prominent, they are lacking muscle mass swaying their hind legs outward, they were very dehydrated and so hungry. Dr. Hedrick gave them some food and they inhaled it as fast as they could crying out for more. Then they were offered water and the cries kept on coming as they quickly lapped up every drop. Dr Hedrick immediately started their deworming cycle and gave them their first round of vaccinations.
There are 2 boys and 2 girls, we have named them Elliot, Jayden, Rosie and Baby Grace. Their pics are in this order
We are in need of a foster home or foster homes for the little ones until they have recovered and can be adopted. If you could help, please download a foster application at http://docs.com/192OV and send it in to us at GingersFund@live.com.
Please keep these little ones in your thoughts and prayers for a full recovery so that they will have no limitations into their adulthood.
