Little Callie 6/13/14
This little girl (6-7 weeks old) was found on 6/13/14 in a daycare parking lot. Her mouth is badly injured, the left side of her face has lacerations and her fur was covered in 100s of fly eggs. We have named her Callie.
Dr. Hedrick said it appears Callie was caught in a car engine and she is one lucky little girl. She was given a good bath, her mite infested ears were cleaned, she was administered a capstar to kill the fleas (along with any maggots that may have already hatched), food/water and left to rest (she was so tired). Please keep her in your thoughts, Dr. Hedrick is tending to her wounds, once the swelling and inflammation has subsided her mouth she will undergo surgery for surgical repair on her mouth.
Donations are needed for Callie’s care and can be made online by clicking on the donate link at the top of the page or by mail to: Ginger’s Fund, PO Box 1036, Thomasville, NC 27361.
