Seized 4/18-4/22/13 Lexi and Gabriela
Lexi
Lexi was seized on Thursday, April 18th after Lexington Animal Control Officer found her chained at her now former residence with no food, no water, and very underweight. You can tell that this sweet girl has been bred many times and that her poor body condition was intentional. She was immediately taken to the Animal Hospital where she was weighed (only 35lbs), fed, and fully vetted. Medical findings-Unaltered, emaciated, female Pit mix, estimated to be 5-7 years old, hookworms (being treated for), Heartworm Positive, ears in bad shape-ear mites (also being treated for), and she has a small tumor on one of her mammary glands.
Gabriela (“Gabby”)
Gabriela (“Gabby” for short)-entered Ginger’s Fund FOS-DCNC on 4/22/13 after being rescued from the same location as Lexi. This little girl is a Husky mix, about 4-5 months old and she is also underweight. She is currently being treated and cared for at the Animal Hospital and we will have a full report on her medical findings this evening.
