Baby Bella 8/13/14-Donations Needed
This is 10 week old Bella. She was dropped off at the Wayne County Shelter in late July along with her litter mates (their mother was not with them). A couple of her litter mates were adopted and the others went with rescues but Bella was left behind.
Bella was a little different than her littermates. An awesome lady named Grace who works at the shelter took Bella under her care but on Friday she became very ill. Bella was taken to Grace’s vet where she was treated for Coccidia but her vet had some bad news for little Bella was suspected to also be suffering from Hydrocephalus (fluid on the brain).
Grace has been reaching out to rescues trying to find help for this little girl but has had no luck. We have been talking with Grace and little Bella will coming into our program. Bella was picked up from the shelter on 8/13/14 around 11am for an overnight stay with one of our good friends and arrived at Davidson Animal Hospital at 6:45pm on 8/13/14.
Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Bella is eating, attention seeking and active which is a great sign. She has been diagnosed with Bilateral Strabismus by Dr. Hedrick and is undergoing other test to determine if she is suffering from hydrocephalus or a congenital birth defect.
Donations are needed for Bella’s continued medical care. Donations can be made online through the donate link on this page, through our FB page or by mail to: Ginger’s Fund, PO Box 1036, Thomasville, NC 27361. Ginger’s Fund FOS-DCNC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, your donations are tax deductible. Thank you for your support <3
